In most cases, Medicare does not cover non-medical home care services (what we offer) such as companionship, personal care, assistance with daily living, or long-term caregiver support. Medicare is designed for short-term, skilled medical care, such as nursing visits or therapy following a hospitalization.
We often serve as the essential gap between what Medicare provides and the ongoing support a loved one truly needs at home. During or after therapy/nursing visits, our caregivers at Young At Heart Home Care continue the hands-on care, safety oversight, and daily support that help maintain progress and prevent decline. Young At Heart Home Care is a private-pay home care agency that allows families to receive flexible, customized, concierge-level care without the restrictions of insurance-based programs. We do accept Long Term Care Insurance and have a concierge team that handles all your needs from approval to weekly submissions.
Yes. We accept Long Term Care Insurance and Private Pay. If you have Long Term Insurance, we have a concierge support team that will submit all necessary approvals and weekly documentation to ensure payment is made on your behalf.
Yes. We require a minimum of 30 hours per week. These hours can be scheduled for any combination of days, nights, or weekends, as long as the weekly 30-hour minimum is met. The hourly rate remains the same regardless of the time of day.
Home care can be arranged very quickly. In most cases, Young At Heart Home Care can begin services within 24 to 48 hours. For urgent needs, we do our best to accommodate same-day support when available. Our team handles the entire process, including the complimentary assessment, care planning, and caregiver matching, so your loved one receives safe and seamless care as soon as possible.
No, we do not require long-term contracts. We believe families deserve flexibility, not pressure or long commitments. Our services are provided on a weekly basis with a simple minimum hour requirement, allowing you to adjust care as your loved one’s needs change. You can begin, pause, or modify the care schedule at any time. Our goal is to make home care feel supportive and adaptable, not restrictive.
We maintain some of the highest hiring standards in Southeast Florida to ensure your loved one receives safe, reliable, and compassionate care. Every caregiver completes a rigorous multi-step screening process that includes:
W2 Employees.
Our caregivers represent the top 1% of talent in Southeast Florida. At Young At Heart Home Care, we hire only highly experienced professionals who meet our strict clinical and emotional care standards. On average, our caregivers bring 17 years of hands-on clinical experience, giving families confidence that their loved ones are in expert and compassionate hands.
Their qualifications and training include:
Yes. Consistency is a top priority at Young At Heart Home Care, especially for clients with conditions such as anxiety or dementia. Regardless of the condition, familiarity reduces anxiety, confusion, and agitation and helps create a sense of safety and comfort in the home. We take great pride in matching the right caregiver to each client, based on clinical experience, professional background, and emotional connection. Consistency is essential for meaningful relationships and confident daily care.
Absolutely. Every client receives a fully personalized care plan created and overseen by our RN team. We do not use a checklist or a one-size-fits-all model. Each plan is built around the client’s unique needs, routines, preferences, and wellness goals.
Our YAH360CARE technology provides real-time feedback on daily care, safety, mobility, nutrition, cognitive changes, and emotional well-being. This allows our team to proactively adjust the care plan instead of reacting after problems arise. Families are involved and updated throughout the entire process. All care is followed and documented by our Certified Nursing Assistants, ensuring consistent communication, accuracy, and seamless continuity of care. Plans are reviewed regularly and updated whenever changes occur. Our goal is to deliver personalized, adaptable care that evolves with your loved one.
Yes. Young At Heart Home Care provides true 24-hour care, and we do it exceptionally well. We use a consistent 12-hour shift model so your loved one is supported by a reliable and familiar care team from day to night and through the weekends. This structure prevents caregiver fatigue, maintains high-quality care, and ensures seamless handoffs.
Our 24-hour care team consists of a Registered Nurse. It is primarily led by Certified Nursing Assistants (not aids), allowing us to be proactive in detecting any changes in condition, behavior, mobility, emotional needs, or overall wellness. Their clinical experience and hands-on training enable early intervention and prompt communication with the family and our RN team. This consistent, clinically skilled team provides continuous support, safety, and peace of mind for families who want the highest standard of around-the-clock care.
Hiring the right team is the first and most crucial step in ensuring safety and reliability, which is why we hire only the top 1% of caregivers, not only for their clinical experience but also for their aptitude. Because of this, call-outs are rare, but can still occur. We maintain strict protocols to guarantee uninterrupted care.
Suppose a caregiver cannot arrive as scheduled. In that case, our rapid response scheduling team activates and finds a qualified backup caregiver who already understands the care plan, and they are sent as quickly as possible, often within hours. The client is immediately updated on the change, and we confirm continuity of care. In the event of a medical emergency, our caregivers are trained to contact emergency services when necessary immediately, then notify the owner and office, and we reach out to the family promptly while our RN team provides guidance and coordinates follow-up with healthcare providers.
Yes. Young At Heart Home Care provides highly specialized Alzheimer’s and dementia care designed to support both safety and emotional well-being. Our caregivers receive extensive dementia-specific training, including a dedicated two-day certification program through Care Academy, in addition to already having strong clinical backgrounds.
We intentionally hire caregivers who have direct hands-on experience working with dementia patients, ensuring they understand behaviors, communication needs, red flags, and stabilizing routines. To further elevate our dementia care, we utilize our YAH360CARE technology to track cognitive changes, behaviors, mood patterns, sleep quality, engagement levels, and emotional wellness in real-time. This enables our RN team to proactively adjust the care plan, identify changes early, and provide families with meaningful insights rather than relying on guesswork.
Experience provides peace of mind, and Young At Heart Home Care is built on a foundation of deep clinical and healthcare expertise. As owners, we bring over 36 years of combined healthcare experience.
Our backgrounds span critical care units, operating rooms, health system division offices, C-suite leadership environments, and direct collaboration with surgeons. Together, our expertise spans the brain, spine, ENT, primary care, and oncology areas, providing us with a strong clinical understanding of complex conditions and the full hospital-to-home continuum.
Our caregivers add another layer of strength to our agency. They represent the top 1% of talent in Southeast Florida and average 17 years of hands-on clinical and senior care experience, including expertise in dementia, Alzheimer’s care, mobility care, recovery care, and support for chronic conditions. When you combine the owners’ 36+ years of healthcare experience with the advanced clinical backgrounds of our caregivers, Young At Heart Home Care brings together more than five decades of collective expertise dedicated to delivering exceptional senior home care. This depth of experience is what allows us to elevate the standard of care.
Yes. Young At Heart Home Care is fully licensed by the State of Florida as a non-medical senior home care agency and meets all state regulatory requirements for safety, quality, and compliance.
We are also fully insured and bonded, providing families with an additional layer of protection, accountability, and peace of mind. We proudly operate three offices across four counties, serving Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, and Monroe. This regional presence enables us to deliver rapid support, consistent caregiver coverage, and robust local oversight in every community we serve.
Beyond meeting state standards, we exceed them. Our internal protocols include advanced caregiver training, Registered Nurse-led care planning, and the use of our YAH360CARE technology to enhance transparency, safety, and wellness tracking across all six pillars of care. All caregivers are covered under our insurance and bonding, ensuring complete protection when they enter your loved one’s home.
